China Electric Apparatus Research Institute (CEI) possesses many state-level scientific researches, testing laboratories and industry information service platforms such as China National Center for Quality Supervision & Test of Electrical Appliances, State Key Laboratory of Environmental Adaptability for Industrial Products, China National Appliances Productivity Center and IEC/SC32C Secretariat. As early as in 1958, China Electric Apparatus Research Institute (GEARI, Guangzhou Electric Apparatus Research Institute, the former of CEI) was set up to establish the environmental testing base through the co-operation by China, former U.S.S.R., Hungary, Poland and former East Germany, which was engaged in the mechanism research, performance evaluation and standard development concerning the adaptabilities of industrial products under the environments of humidity heat, salt spray and mould. In 1983, Testing and Inspection Station for Electrical Appliances (the former of CVC) was set up, which had changed the name to Guangzhou Vkan Certification and Testing Institute (CVC) in 2006. On base of 20-years high development, CVC becomes the largest international testing organization for electrical and electronic products in China even up to Asia, which has the widest scope of testing and the most comprehensive capabilities. The scope of business is related to 9 national economy developmental areas, including household electrical appliances, light industries, automobiles, hardware, steel and irons, petrochemicals, materials and electric power. CVC is capable of testing according to more than 2,000 standards, with over 30,000 testing items involved. CVC issues above 30,000 test reports every year and serves up to 3,000 enterprises all over the world.  National Products Certification With the authorization of Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA), CVC co-operates with China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) and Certification Center of Light Industry Council (CCLC) to develop a wide national certification services.
International Product Certification Co-operating with numerous international certification organizations, the test reports issued by CVC can be recognized by more than 50 certification organizations from over 40 countries.
Products Quality Supervision, Arbitration and Appraisal As the China National Center for Quality Supervision & Test of Electrical Appliances, CVC is the third party and impartial state-level authority for quality supervision and test of electrical appliances authorized by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China (AQSIQ). Every year CVC undertakes the electrical appliances quality supervision and sampling test tasks for products such as refrigerators, air conditioners, microwave ovens, vacuum cleansers assigned by AQSIQ and Guangdong Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision. CVC also undertakes product quality arbitration test and national technological achievements appraisal test.
Good product quality and high quality service constitute the most important factors of business. For the buyer and the seller far from each other in the international business, in order to make sure that the product quality complies with the defined requirements thousands of miles away, the most important key is to control the pre-shipment product quality. CVC provides product inspection to the customers all the time, with wide product categories. Apparatus and Equipment Measuring and Calibration CVC Measuring Center (Third Measuring and Testing Center Station Under Machinery Industry) is the first national calibration laboratory accredited by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment （CNAS） in the electromechanical industry with the certificate number of L1093. We are able to provide the calibration services according to more than 50 measuring standards in the fields of electromagnetics, wireless, time and frequency, pyrology, length, mechanics, and so on, and have obtained the Measuring Standard Conformity Certificate issued by AQSIQ. The calibration data we issued can be traceable to the international and national standards. Our calibration certificates are complied with the requirement of various certifications. Our Features We are the only one calibration laboratory qualified to carry out the calibration of general use equipments such as Enthalpy Method Air-Conditioner Testing Laboratory and Balanced Ambient Type Room Calorimeter. We have developed and are still developing our services of the measuring and calibration for various nonstandard equipments.
